 Welcome to the KCEE Economics Challenge!  Below are the rules for the online quiz.

Rules

  1. You must have a teacher/coach in the room to monitor teams during the quiz.

  2. Read these instructions thoroughly before starting the quiz.

  3. Have pencil and paper ready to use for calculations, etc. you  may want to make.

  4. You CANNOT use calculators, notes, books, cell phones, etc. during the quiz. You cannot print or copy the questions.

  5. Teams of 3 or 4 should take this quiz together - in front of one computer. You can confer with your own team members, but teams cannot confer with each other.

  6. Teams will be asked for School Name; Teacher Name; and Team Name or Team Captain.  You will be given a login ID for your team to use to enter the quiz. This ID can only be used once to access the quiz.

  7. Questions will appear one at a time. You cannot go back after answering a question. 

  8. Scoring of questions: 1 point for each correct answer; 0 points for incomplete or incorrect answers.

  9. You will have 30 minutes to answer 30 questions. There is an online timer for you.  At the end of 30 minutes, the quiz will automatically close and record your answers.  If you finish before the 30 minutes, you can select "Finish" at the end of the quiz to close the quiz..

  10. Teams will only have one opportunity to take the quiz.

  11. Teams that receive "outside help", and do not follow the rules above, will be disqualified.

  12. Team scores will be shared with your teacher by email. The highest scoring team will be announced the winner and will represent Kentucky in the regional competition. In case of the need for a tie-breaker, teachers will be notified.  KCEE (in consultation with the national Council on Economic Education) has final say in the interpretation of these rules and in the ruling of any unforeseen eventualities.
